    Horses love having a job to do! Build a balanced partnership between you and your horse with Elaina Enzien. You'll leave with new skills and ideas to develop a versatile, working horse.

    This clinic is designed for a customized experience and have somewhat evolved into a retreat style format. The small group lends itself to participants being able to focus on exactly what they want, whether it's mechanical flag work, cattle work, horsemanship to prepare for cattle, etc. There is plenty of down time in the afternoons to relax, ride your horse, or just enjoy the facilities and the peaceful environment Gelinas Farm has to offer.

    Kick off your season by getting back to the basics so you can set the stage for success all summer long. This clinic will focus on all things horsemanship to build a connected partnership with your equine partner.

    From body control, transitions, and developing your feel, timing, and balance, you'll ride away with tools specific to you and your horse that you can use all season long.

  • Cattlework Lessons

    NZN Horsemanship offers private or semi-private stockmanship lessons on Gelinas Farm property. Lessons are available first come first serve basis. Just fill out the form below and join the fun!

    JUNE - EARLY OCTOBER

    *You must have your own horse*

    Private stockmanship/ cattle lessons: $125/ 1 hr

    Semi-Private stockmanship/ cattle lessons: $90/ 1.5 hr

  • Horsemanship Retreats

    Just you, your horse, and all the amenities Gelinas Farm has to offer in a scenic, peaceful setting. Come stay on site with your equine partner for an immersive horsemanship experience.

    NZN Horsmeanship Retreats provide you an opportunity to focus on deepening your connection and growing your partnership with your horse, under the guidance and support of a professional. You'll be able to explore and experiment on your own time, audit lessons, watch training sessions, trail ride, work cattle, and spend time with a welcoming and fun community.

    Take your pick between our two packages

    Solo Retreat:

    • Three Day Retreat-$700
    • Five Day Retreat-$1000

    Retreat with a friend:

    • Three Day Retreat-$900
    • Five Day Retreat-$1200

    What's included?

    • Overnight accomodations for you and your horse (dry camping and/ or plug in availalbe) or stay in our cozy bunkhouse with all the basic amenities you'd need (sleeps 3)
    • Daily one-on-one lessons with Elaina
    • Full access to our facilities (highline, indoor and outdoor arena, trails, obstacles, round pen, fire pit, grill)
    • Opportunities to audit lessons and training sessions
    • Opportunities to work cattle, trail ride, etc.
    • Opportunities for energy work and body work (additional fees may apply) for horse and person

    Offered May-October

    Dates are flexible and chosen upon booking.

    50% deposit required to hold your spot. Checks can be mailed to Gelinas Farm and made out to NZN Horsemanship.
